I have a 2008 5-door hatch. The hatch lock mechanism got "confused" when the hatch was closing and the the lock tripped to the closed position before the hatch closed. Now the door won't close because the lock is closed when it should be open. I've tried manually tripping the lock and then trying to unlock it but the lock won't move to the open position. I hear the solenoid moving whenever I activate the key fob in either open or lock positions but it seems something got disconnected or out of sync. Any ideas on how to resync the lock to its proper position? I hope it is a simple fix. Thanks for any help.

Never mind. Fixed it myself. Took the hatch apart. Jiggled the lock and it all fell into place.

actually what you did was what I was going to suggest, it happens occasionally as the locks wear they need to be adjusted, some just show it more abruptly than others, use some good lithium spay and spray all your locks to lube up the moving parts
