Hi,
I was hoping someone can help with a quick question about the warning lights on the instrument cluster.
I just bought a 2014 Mazda 3 and didn't notice this at the time, as I just started the car from off to engine running.
If I use the push start to turn the car on so all the accessories are running but without the engine starting I get a few warning lights staying on. Battery, check engine and power steering. I can understand the battery one (as the engine isn't running) but the check engine light and power steering suggest a problem to me. If I then start the engine those warnings turn off and the car sounds and drives normally.
I have a cheap Bluetooth obd2 reader and torque pro. It doesn't show any codes before I start the engine or while running. I was just wondering if anyone can confirm if this is usual behaviour. Thought I'd ask before bothering a mechanic.
Thanks,
Chloe
