Hi,

I use a google Nexus 5, connected by Bluetooth. The problem is that the first phone call I make/receive is of poor quality. It's very noisy, just like static, it's impossible to make out what the other person is saying.
I hang up and redial and everything is fine. I've upgraded the firmware, but this hasn't helped.

Is this a known issue or has anyone come across this problem?

Not really, it kind of happened less and less until it went away almost completely.

I did mention it to Mazda when servicing the car, they couldn't confirm the fault, so they decided to update the firmware. This made the problem come back, and it's now at the same stage as above (happening less).

I had the same issue with my Nexus 5. Got my dealer to do a firmware update and I think it helped a bit.. I'm not talking on the phone a lot so it was hard to tell. Ended up getting a new phone a couple months ago and I haven't had static issues since. It must have something to do with the Nexus 5 bluetooth specs!
