I sent an inquiry to the email address mentioned earlier and got the following response from Mathew Wilson (OVTune) <[email protected]>:

Please contact Rafaels personal gmail (sorry we do not have it)

I googled a bit and found this email [email protected]. I'll edit my post if I get a response.
Matt doesn't do Mazdas any more.......Rafael does......[email protected]
this is posted in many threads here....

Thanks to suggestions made by many members on here, I reached out to Rafael last month and I'm now working on getting my 2nd tune in a couple days. I got my 1st tune last week and it totally woke up my 3. It just wants to get up and go now and it picks up RPMs fast. I'm relearning how to drive my 3 all over again. It's totally worth it! 😄

For your reference, here's my stock dyno run on 87. The only mod is a RacingBeat axleback exhaust. I hope the parameters I used are accurate.

281954

My first tune (93 octane):

281956

My 2nd tune:

281955

I am expecting the upcoming tunes will help to boost the hp a bit more and level out the torque up in the rpm band.

thanks for sharing those!
when i was getting tuned, i didn't notice significant power gains until the 3rd tune, and that was coupled with a vastly different throttle map too. strap yourself in for the next one :D

For comparison this is mine with final tune
Based on your past discussion, I see you drive a 2.0L Mazda3 that makes 120 hp. Your HP and TQ will be corrected if you readjust the mass to include your body mass on top of the car's mass. Also, double check your Final Drive. I'm not sure what the Euro-spec 6 speed gearsets are but the gearsets I used for my parameters are US-spec. If they are the same, you should use 3.85 for the Final Drive.

I just got back on the site and am looking for just a 91 oct tune. Does OV still sent out tunes for these? Been looking for some info. Not much I can find surprisingly after all these years.

Anyone in the US tune these? I don't think Tripoint Engineering in the SoCal Valley is still around are they?

There are two Mazda specialists in Europe who also do remote mapping:

- Disitune (Poland) with Tactrix Open Port cable and MazdaEdit software - https://www.facebook.com/DISItune/ ;

- Shr3k (Czech Republic) with Tactrix Open Port cable and PCMFlash software with module 10 or 11 (depending on the ECU model, Denso or Mitsubishi) motor - Odemčení výkonu u řídících jednotek motorů Skyactiv-G, Skyactiv-D (chiptuning, i pro RF, R2, LF, L5, L3 a ostatní) .
Thanks !

Message i got back from Rafael about my setup "We haven't had a customer who went down this route, unfortunately "
So I have reached out to Disi and TN to see if they can maximize my setup.
I'll report back .

OVT is estimated because unlike most of the "normal" tuners which only increase power at high revs by increasing the ignition advance of the engine rev limiter, it modifies the VVT timing of the intake and exhaust valves which improves throttle response and low-to-mid-range torque.
Only a few skyactiv-g engine specialists know how to make these changes.
