So I bought some Infinity components and can't believe how harsh the tweeters are. Horrible.

Was thinking about leaving the Infinity mids in the door and putting back the OEM tweeters. Not sure of the construction of the OEM passive set up. I'm assuming there is a simple resistor in either the woofer or the tweeter. I don't want to throw the tweeters back in if it has the resistor (or whatever may be rolling off the frequencies) built in. My assumption is that it would be the in woofer. But have no clue.

Anyone know ?

The OEM setup should have the high-pass filter (a small capacitor) attached to the tweeter. For the OEM speakers, full-range audio goes into the door, and then frequencies are filtered at the speakers themselves. Just plug it back into the stock wiring and you should be fine.
