Has anyone thought to try the Miata ND OEM leather shift knob on our Mazda 3's? I cannot for the life of me find one brand new for sale anywhere.

I saw someone on here earlier today asking about this and they actually did have the part numbers. Cant post links because I'm new but here are the part numbers. I did find them on Tascaparts.

For the metal cap: N243-46-032

For the knob itself: N244-46-030B

When I go in for an oil change next month im going to check with the dealership to see what the price would be on it to see what the price would be through them. Ill update this when I get that info.
It almost looks like it might be easily interchangeable with the 3's knob as far as height of the boot goes since the miata has the silver piece underneath

Great to hear @Midnightsky228 my 2017 is about to go in for oil change #1 and I will be pricing out the miata knob when I am at the dealer if not before I go.
Looks great @Road Trip I called my dealership yesterday to order and sadly they haven't gotten back to me :(. What did you pay for your's at the dealership?\

EDIT: Just remembered you have the world's best build log so I checked there.

Odd that the cap is clipped in place and not screwed in from the bottom like many other shift knobs. I wonder why Mazda went that route......
I think that is just as odd that it isn't just sold as one piece. As far as I know they are all 6 speeds so why sell the two pieces?

EDIT: I also don't see any different caps for sale with different patters (i.e. 5 speed)
Just got mine yesterday and used washers to shim the boot up. I was preferring to keep the knob as low as I could and six washers let me shim the boot without raising it. Pics incoming!
