Hi guys, just wondering....is it normal that my bluetooth obd scanner stays powered on even when the car is off? Also what is the normal idling rpm? Mine fluctuates between 650 and 740. With torque app I noticed increase in vaccuum (going from -7.7 to -9.7 psi) and then the rpm drops. Is this normal behaviour or should I get a checkup.

I haven't had to test with my Mz3 yet, BUT when my GTI has the OBD scanner in, my phone does try and stay connected to it for 2 or 3 minutes after the car has turned off.

I mean I can see the red power led is lit on the obd scanner when the car is off. Should that be? Is there always power at the odb connector?

Yes...it's always on .
