I was driving today in the Bronx, with Waze running on my phone which was charging from the 12v, and listening to my Ipod thru the USB, when I got red light camera warnings thru the stereo speakers! It was definitely not Waze because that was speaking thru the phone speaker. The nav system found a lot more cameras than Waze, maybe because I was on the Deegan, but Waze found some the nav didn't, and sometimes they both found the same one. I never got a red light camera warning from the nav system before, and I wasn't even using the nav.

I updated the nav card a couple of months ago, and there's not many red light cameras where I live. Is this a new part of the nav card database? Has anyone else had a similar experience?

This might be the first useful thing the nav system has done for me.

There is a navigational setting to annunciate/audible warning of upcoming traffic cams if they have been updated into the sdcard. You don't have to be navigating for it to announce it, just the setting enabled.
