Australian auto blog CarAdvice.com.au’s ninjas caught the 2010 Mazda3 driving under the cloak of darkness on an Australian highway and managed to snag a few new shots and perspectives of the upcoming Mazda3.
To recap what is widely expected to be shared by Mazda at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November, the new Mazda3 will have the current Mazda3’s 2.0L 4 cylinder as a base engine and the larger, 2.5 liter 4 cylinder from the 2009 Mazda6 as the top of the line engine for s-line models.
Other new additions to the 2010 Mazda3 include a six speed transmission, MP3 hard drive, integrated mirror turn signals and more steering wheel based controls. The interior of the 2010 Mazda3 will look very similar to the 2009 Mazda6 with a broader, more driver friendly center dashboard stack.
