Hey guys

I recently purchased a 2016 Mazda 3 Sedan and I want to install a subwoofer. I live in the Caribbean (Grenada to be exact) so my car is right hand drive. I've searched and googled for instructions and read hundreds of them so i more or less understand the process. However when i look for where the LOC supposed to be plugged in, based on the write ups ive seen, I cant find the grey box anywhere. I'm certain i dont have the bose package so it should be behind the glove compartment but its not there. The only thing that slightly resembles the grey box is located on the Driver's side. So my question is...Is that where the LOC supposed to be plugged in???

This is the grey box im seeing on the driver's side

Numbers on the grey box

And this is whats on the Passenger side behind the glove box

Thanks in advance guys, would really appreciate the help.

That gray metal box definitely looks like the TAU (tuner amp unit), which is where I plugged the PAC AOEM-MAZ2 into. Here's a few close up shots of mine:

No, the PAC unit wasn't yet installed when I took pics of the TAU. Unfortunately, my pic doesn't show the entire unit/ connections either.

However, I'm seeing something in your new pic that I don't recognize on my TAU. Directly next to your thumb (near bottom of pic) is a grayish connector, with what looks like a black wire going into it. I just don't remember seeing anything like that on my TAU. No idea what that is.

FWIW, I have a 2016 Mazda 3 isport with center display, 6 speakers, no CD player, and non-Bose.

Perhaps somebody with more Mazda audio experience will chime in. It still looks like the TAU to me, perhaps a slightly different design? Unfortunately I can't see mine clearly now since various cables and wires are neatly wrapped up around it, blocking the view.

So my PAC AOEM-MAZ2 finally arrived...but sadly it doesnt fit the TAU unit my car has installed on it :(...My car is a 2017 model and the plugs are way different...does anyone know of a LOC that'll fit my car?? The PAC-Audio website seems to only support up to the 2015 model :(

If your just adding a sub why not use a line out converter and simply splice into the rear door speaker wiring behind the B-Post plastics.

When I first added a sub thats what I did using Stinger LOC's.
