Hey, I am working on a project to wire up some LED accent lights from XKGlow to my 2016 Mazda 3 iTouring Hatch. The controller has a wire that you can use to tap into a power source that is activated when braking. This sends a signal to the controller and the controller will turn all the LEDs red.

I am trying to find a good (semi convenient) wire that I can tap into for this. I was thinking about one of the wires that come out of the brake switch, but it's a hard to get to place and if I accidentally cut one of the wires I'm SOL.

My next thought was there has to be a wire in the main bundle that's inside the driver door kick plate trim area. But I'm not sure which wire it would be and I don't really know to test for it.

If anyone knows a good way to do this, I would be greatfull.

Thanks!

Maybe something like this if you can find one compatible with the Gen3s? I assume you don't want them coming on and off every time you brake...
