I have lots of problems playing media off my iPhone and also with navigation where the maps disappear randomly. Although I only installed the usb master bundle and compass app, I'm hoping if some kind of factory reset can help. I have the newest firmware as well. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I force reboot my cmu several times a week because of these problems.

Have you tried re-installing your firmware. If something is corrupted in the CMU maybe it will get replaced with the re-install.

Oh I didn't know you could do that. Reinstall just the firmware or the failsafe too?

You have rebooted the CMU several times, but have you made factory reset from Settings menu?
(1) Select “Setting”.
(2) Select “System”.
(3) Select “Factory Reset”

After that, you have to reprogam all your radiostations again, because all personal settings will be lost.

As long as you are using the firmware version currently in your CMU I would just do the firmware and not bother with failsafe.
