Do you have to use the Mazda moly oil for the Skyactive engine oil changes? It seems pretty pricey...

Please use the search button in the future. but now you do not have to use the molly oil. Just use your favoirte brand in a synthetic at the recommended weight 0w20 and keep records of your regular changes

Any good 0w-20 oil changed regularly should be fine. There are a few threads on this with deeper discussions floating around.

Moly is good for engine break-in...I would use it at least for 1 or 2 changes...

i paid about 6.75/quart for mazda moly oil at the dealer when i used their 20% coupon. call dealers to check their pricing.
