My brother recently bought a 2011 Mazda 3 hatchback and he had me look it over. The car drives fine and I had to replace the front driver side wheel bearing because it was making noise. While I was under the car I noticed two bolts that connect the tranny to engine were hanging out half way. I assume the clutch had been replaced recently because the clutch does feel quiet aggressive yet I've never driven a manual newer than 01 before. Bolts were fine And tranny case didn't have any cracks. My big concern was that I found a connector sticking out of the transmission with nothing plugged into it. I don't know if it was just there because the automatics used the same case as the manuals but I couldn't find any wires nearby that would plug into it. Anyone know what this connector is for and if it is needed?

Its location is on the back of the transmission between the firewall.
