I have a 2013 mazdaspeed 3.

It has 90,000 km.

Today while driving my check engine light began flashing. I was not able to accelerate above 60km.

As well the vehicle began to shake / boggle.

Anyone have any explanations or guesses as to what the issue could be?

Could see no visual concerns.

Could be a cylinder misfire. Mine did that a while back not as drastic just bogged down and then the light came on. Checked the code in my accessport and said cylinder 1 misfire. I Immediattely got off the road and turned off the car. I changed the spark plugs shortly after that haven't had an issue since

Take it to somebody who has an OBD reader and get the trouble code. That will tell you more than anyone here could considering nobody here has actually looked at at your car.....
