What are the major differences between the 2017 Grand Touring and the 2018 version?

The 2017 has silver colored wheels. 2018 has darker "gun metal" colored wheels. Not 100% sure of any other differences, but my guess is that everything else is the same otherwise.

The 2018 Mazda3 does see a small price increase, but this is because Smart City Brake Support is now standard on the entry Sport trim. This feature, previously not available on this model, is the collision mitigation system you can depend on to help prevent collisions. Essentially, it monitors the road ahead for potential risks and applies brakes automatically to prevent a collision or reduce damage when a collision is unavoidable.

As pointed out, in the US absolutely nothing except the wheel color option and they reworked packages and options from where some became standard depending on the trim level...nothing like the changes which occurred from the 2016 model to 2017 models. In some markets I have noticed ground packages installed which weren't previously offered in 2017, but they seem to be a specialty item/option from the dealer and not indicated on the Mazda website.

Not a lot of differences between 2014 and 2018. In 2016 they did the electronic ebrake. Made a few things standard, in 2017 they updated a few visuals. But if you buy a 2014 for 10 grand less. You won't be upset it's basically the same car.

Also, if you get a 2018 GT with the manual, the premium equipment package is required/included. The $1600 package cost is added/included to the price as well.

There is an auto android upgrade kit for 2014 on up. couple hours work and 300 bucks.
