The latest, 2017 IIHS vehicle safety ratings are out and the Mazda 3 (and the Mazda 6 and also the CX-3) were three of the top 38 vehicles picked with the highest possible safety rating.

Mazda does such a great job in about every category. I remember reading that my '15 was rated to be in the top safety position, too. I suppose it's the design that continues to yield such superior results.
