Hi everybody,

I just bought an used Mazda 3 GT 2010 (2.5L Engine).I'm so used to Honda that I can not tell if this engine sounds normal. So does it sound normal? Is that engine knocking or a normal 2.5L Ford engine sound? youtu.be/qva7fogPfAY

Also,(see pic) is this a hole/crack on the intake manifold?

Note : I'm aware that one of the pulley make noise.

Not sure if this helps, but I have a 2016 2.5L. If you are referring to the clatter noise.. My car does that too. This is normal for a direct injection motor (which I believe your engine is the L5-VE).

Can't tell what is going on in the picture.

EDIT: Looks like the non-sky engines to not have DI.. Bet that it is still the fuel injectors.
