Can anyone advise me how the 2006 Mazda 3 Hatchback door ajar/interior light switch work? and where it is located? The door ajar light and interior light in my Son's car, in Seattle, will not extinguish. I'm is SoCal and I'm trying to advise him how to fix it, but he says there is no door jamb switch. I have the car's service manual on AllData but cannot find a reference or electrical schematic that shows a door jamb switch.

I have an electrical wiring diagram for the Mazda 3 ('06 - '09) that I downloaded from somewhere. I can't find the source. Here are three screen shots for the wiring of the interior light.

did you ever get this resolved? i am having similar issues with a 2007 (built in 06') mazdaspeed3 ... have done every tip and trick known to man on the door latch assemblies all around (even the hood latch sensor).

as of now i disconnect the room fuse when driving and disconnect the battery when not in use.. any help appreciated
