Hi Mazda Fam,

I started to make some videos for all that want to see what this upgrade entails.
Honestly very straight forward especially with all of the information on ASH8's post. This will probably take you about 2 hours to fully get through.

**Update. Installed the Australia version by accident. Follow the forum post and select the right region. (The files still work out of region, CMU just thinks you're in that area)

Hey thank you for the video, and the manual for installation especially the firmware update. Now I will be able to perform on my own.

Did you have any chance to use the AA? Are you satisfied with the image quality on the Mazda display, I find it that the DPI is not right if the image is blur? I find that Mazda infotainment system has a more clear image.

Hi, I found your post in the other thread, you mention your car thought you were in China. Are you still having this issue with the correct firmware? I think it might be the same issue some of us are having, and it might be a CMU issue. See here:https://mazda3revolution.com/forums...ndroid-auto-all-here-now-187.html#post2420533

Also these 2 other posts of Canadians (I'm guessing the second one also is) whose cars thought they were somewhere in Kazakhstan before locking GPS signal:

If you get the coordinates for Kazakhstan, and then change the "E" to "W" as I mentioned in the link above to the other thread, you get the Canadian region where one of the posters says he is in.

- You need to download the latest infotainment version available here: https://my.hidrive.com/share/hsodpqja.l#$/Mazda_Firmware
- Install new USB socket and cables from Mazda, which are available at your local dealer
- And make sure you have your iPhone running the latest iOS version (carplay is already included in it)

I installed the latest firmware Sunday.
7.xxxx

Ordered the usb kit.

So I should be good to go once the kit is installed.

I thought the car play was separate didn’t realize it was on the iPhone.
