Hi, I am asking for help or advice from you guys. I have Mazda 3 BK 2006 2.0 petrol with a cable throttle body. About 2 months ago my throttle was "sticky". After the car has warmed up, it was quite hard to push the gas pedal initially but the whole action worked fine. Unless i released it, and wanted to apply again. So that made me clean the throttle body. Now the pedal isn't sticking, but i get a quite big jerk when i release the throttle. It does it only when the engine is warmed up. I get it, there should be some kind of jerk. But this is very uncomfortable and it makes me look as a bad driver. Even if i let go of the throttle as easy as i can it still jerks violently. With that the car is jerky too, when i push the throttle it like jerks a bit and then takes off. I tried to describe it as closely as i can. Should I buy a new throttle body. Or could the problem be related to something else? Thanks for help

LOL. I had a subaru that had the same issue, where the pedal would be stuck. You could push through it with effort, made the car very tricky to drive smoothly. The TB was REALLY dirty!

I'd try disconnecting the battery for 20 minutes, which resets the PCM and forces it to recreate it's tables of trans and engine curves. It probably has curves in it based on your sticky TB. It would correct itself over time, but disconnecting the battery will make things better right away. It may not be great on first starting up, since the preset curves might not be perfect for your car, but it should improve rapidly. If you do a search here, there might be a more detailed procedure for doing this.
