I was wondering if anyone knew a good way to get through the firewall on a 2017 Mazda 3 hatchback? I am installing my sub and other than connecting the LOC to my rear speakers, this is what I will have the most complicated time with. Thanks in advance.

Is there a grommet near the driver's side of the firewall? Almost every vehicle I've installed a sound system of any type had one somewhere in that area you could slide the power wire through. If not, you could always drill a small hole somewhere in there that looks empty. Some vehicles have indents on the firewall showing where there's no wires or anything that would interfere with it.

Are the rear speakers full-range? I've read that they don't have a full-range signal feeding them, so they may not be the best source for a sub.
