hi all,

note that when I'm idle on mode "drive", the car start to tremble(not that much but still, you feel a slight shaking). but when I put on the A/C, or activate the I-Stop or even shift to "Neutral", it returns to normal and no more shaking. is that normal or there's something wrong and I need to visit a mechanic?

PS: I have a mazda 3 third gen, 2015 and 1500 CC.

I'm having a similar issue. Degraded idle smoothness and what feels like the occasional mis under low rpm-moderate load. I've checked mine for codes and other obvious issues and I've not been able to determine the issue. There was also a recent post about spark nock that sounds similar to my issue. Wondering how many others will report degraded idle conditions in the coming months /years.

Frankly, I don't think the dealer will be able to diagnose this, they may chalk it up as normal operation. Mine isn't bad enough to warrant going to the dealer, I called them about it and they told me to get an oil change ...

Another thing to monitor. Is your idle speed fluctuating at all? Mine tends to seek a little bit when the idling is dehraded, which in my case is often but not always.

If you do go, please report back to the forum on the diagnosis and repair.

Good luck,

its 36,000km. note that I ride with AC 99% of the time and as stated, on AC it does not vibrate or whatsoever. given that rat visited my engine bay and that now its winter and no need to AC, its only now that I've remarked this and thus a bit worried. maybe its normal when there no "I-Stop, no AC and not on neutral" to vibrate a little but still need to confirm with other Mazda 3 3rd gen owner.

No codes/CEL? You mentioned rat....check your plug wires for scars & test each w/ a multimeter or ground wire or this method: https://youtu.be/x-U9WqJfaJs
The slightest spark leak can trigger vibrations & misfires. My other car was a victim....Look at the bite marks.

If nothing found, try cleaning the throttle body.

ok but the misfire issue would not be the same when enabling AC or I-Stop?? why It happens when they are off and when turned on, everything is normal????

Do it by elimination. Spark Voltage leaks can vary & be random depending on load & how bad the leaks are. Anyway, there will be no harm in checking those & the throttle body.
