The Cars Owners Keep for 10 Years or More

The Passenger Cars Owners Hold Onto

The top 10 passenger cars are also dominated by Japanese and Korean brands. Toyota’s cars take four of the first five positions, and cars from Hyundai, Mazda and Honda make up most of the rest of the list. The Audi A3 was the lone car from a non-Asian brand. (Audi has also had a reputation for producing reliable vehicles.)

That is interesting information. Thank you, though I will bet that "longest owned" and "most fun to drive" would be two very different lists.

2019 Mazda CX-5 : It's been recognised as hottest hatchback with serious power underhood. I'd say Mazda has started to gain attention among other brands.

The wife ran an 02 Accord until 2016. I said enough was enough.

1987 Plymouth Reliant LE Canada K four door; 3 speed lock-up torque converter A/T, 2.5 litre Bosch injected L4 (with bal. shafts), HD susp., A/C (these were the only options). Frt cloth split bench seat.... seated 6 in a pinch.

Oct 1987 to April 2014. I kept it that incredibly long because this 7th model-year iteration car was a great, basic, cheap to buy & maintain car. The Domestic mfrs rarely get it right for the first few model-year iterations...

You may laugh... but I know my cars and I know drive quality... and there's NO way I'd have kept it so long if it treated me poorly. Sole things which went wrong were 1 O2 sensor (warranty) and 2 Bosch alternators.
