Yup, just used flat black plasti dip with one really light layer followed by a heavy 3 layers, the finish is really smooth

i would recommend spending plenty of time cleaning and taping everything off, having a heat gun handy doenst hurt as well

I wanted to do this on the chrome V but was wondering if taking the bumper off is easier than masking the area out.
i looked all over the forum and everyone said getting the trim out was very challenging

i dont have any pictures, but along the entire V chrome, there is a little ridge that you can just stick in the edge of the tape - makes it really easy to mask everything off, takes less than an hour

Nice to know! Do you take the tape off right after the last spray or do you wait for the dip to dry first?

After I sprayed the last spray, i let it rest for about 5 minutes, took a heat gun over any "visibly" still wet places and just let them settle for a second and then just started ripping the tape and paper off

and if you taped it correctly with all the tape going into the ridges, it comes off super easily and thanks to the nature of plasti dip around edges, it was a very clean finish
