Figured it was time to finally start one of these build threads. I picked up my 2017 Mazda 3 GT 6 MT Machine Gray just over two months ago. Been slowly adding and changing things about the car.

Here are some pics when I first got the car.

Some of the first mods I did were the Corksport shifter plate, Corksport shifter bushing kit, AEM "dry" drop in filter and window tint. I didn't take pics of the installation of the shifter plate and bushing but it's really straight forward.

Next up was the suspension, I spent way too long looking around and trying to figure out what would work best for me. I knew I wanted to run upgraded dampers with what ever lowering spring I choose. I originally was gonna go with Racing Beat springs and Koni FSD, I know many people love this combo here. In the end, I wanted a look lower than what the RB offered. So I ended up with Eibach springs and Koni yellows. I also added a Progress Rear Sway Bar and adjustable endlinks, I got a set for the front and rear.

Finally it was time to do the install on all of the suspension pieces. A friend and I did it on his side yard, took about 3 hrs to complete. I have the sway bar on the softer setting and I have dampers about 25% stiffness. I think this weekend I will be changing that. Here are photos of it done.

Speedline strut tower bar (Updated8/5/17)

Konig Ultraform 18x8 et45 in Gloss Graphite (Updated 9/17)

Future mods:
OEM aero kit
New tires
Cat-back
Getting rid of all the chrome accents
I like to do something with the interior but not to sure what to do.
Also interested in AOI, but I really need to read up on it, 400 plus pages is a lot to read, who has cliff-notes?

Picked up a Speedline Strut Tower Bar off a member from the site, got a great deal, plus the bar had never been installed. Only taken a short drive through the back roads close to where I live. I must say, I'm really happy with this mod, I think being lowered this something that should be done along with the rear sway bar. Car just has a more planted feel to it. I also signed up for my first track in Nov at Laguna Seca. I have a few more things I want to do before then, mostly brake/wheels, hopefully I can get it done.

New wheels showed up. Konig Ultraform 18x8 et45 in Gloss Graphite. Wasted no time getting them installed, went down to my friend's shop and swapped the factory tires over for now. Plan is to still get a sticker set of tires and do the brakes before my first event in Nov. at Laguna Seca. Wheels are a really close match to the factory color, I didn't realize it was gonna be so close. One thing we both agreed on too, is that the rear wheels need to be spaced out a little bit to be flush like the front. So I order a set of 5mm spacers, I didn't think 3mm would of been enough, I could be wrong.
