Issue with android auto connecting

Hi,
I've recently had an issue with connecting to android auto. I upgraded my firmware to 74.00.324 4A N, and installed this part:
(with wireless option)
It was working fine for about a month up until a week ago, when it refused to connect to my phone, both automatically and manually. The display constantly pops up with USB1 smartlinkBox connected / disconnected every 10-15 seconds, and although my phone is connected to it by Bluetooth, it does not connect to android auto. If I go into settings and disable android auto and turn it back on again, it pops up the disconnect message one more time, and then tells me that I am connected to android auto. I've got no idea how to fix this as it's very tedious heading into settings to turn it on and off every time.

Things I've tried:
  • Factory resetting the CMU on my Mazda
  • Clearing storage on my phone for android auto
  • Uninstalling and reinstalling android auto
  • Making sure all permissions are granted for AA
  • Unpairing and repairing my device in multiple ways with my car (pairing to only the Mazda's Bluetooth, or AA Bluetooth, etc.)

I own a pixel 8 which I use for AA.

I believe the connection is not faulty as well as it works fine after disabling and enabling AA, and also works fine when I connect by USB instead.
If anyone has any advice or experience, maybe even a way to directly reset the USB hub that provides AA, please let me know!

(Attached, my firmware version and the pop-up which appears right after the disconnect pop-up)

edit: SOLVED! If anyone is wondering how to fix, as Arakon pointed out for me, you just need to update this box. To do so, you need to connect it via wifi, (mine was called "smartbox-xxxx", password was just "88888888"), using a device that is otherwise connected to the internet, and the load up the page "192.168.1.101".
After this, a white page with a few options should load, and an update box down the bottom. Make sure you are connected to both the box via wifi, and the internet, (e.g. I USB tethered my phone to my laptop and connected my laptop to the box via wifi), and then you can download the update and install it with the button on the webpage. This fixed the issue for me.

The wireless module inside that hub has a firmware, too, that you can update. You likely will have to disable bluetooth on the phone and then connect to the IP address of the wireless module and share internet to it from the phone to be able to update. How exactly should be in the manual, or check with the seller.
I'm using a pluggable wireless module that likely uses the same hardware inside (also reports as "smartlinkbox") and I recall it had a firmware update available right away which stated that one of the fixes was random disconnects.
