I wanted to add my method to the discussion. If you've got the right tools to get the front tires off the ground easily, I think that's an easier way to do this install. Lots of space behind the wheel wells.

I didn't realize the projectors were different for the stock HID kit. I knew it was a different assembly but I assumed that was driven by the LED DRLs. I've stood in front of the car and my 35W kit doesn't seem bad. I am going to take another look at beam pattern. The cutoff is very similar to halogen. I haven't noted excessive glare but I wasn't looking for it. Honestly, the brightness isn't much more than when when the car was new and the stock halogens were fresh. I do notice that reflective road signs, clothing, etc. really pop out of the background more than they ever did with halogen bulbs. I'm very happy with the kit, assuming I haven't missed anything with glare.
