How to disconnect the muffler?

1189 Views 4 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  mark.h
I want to see how my car would sound if I got a muffler delete and I know you can just disconnect the muffler. Are there any certain tools I need or is it just screws? And can I leave it disconnected for a day or two to see how I like it? Or is that unsafe having a pipe disconnected hanging off?

I did this out of curiosity, just to see what it sounded like. Just two bolts, muffler stays in place but the pipe will hang so if you were to drive you would need to zip tie it somewhere. I just did a cold start and rev. Wouldn't recommend driving for too long unless you're confident that everything is secure down there
