Scheduled maintenance items such as oil changes are not covered under warranty.Wouldn't it be covered by your warranty if you're only at 8,100 miles?
Might need a dealer re-prep...Scheduled maintenance items such as oil changes are not covered under warranty.
What is "Scenario 2 maintenance"?:dunno:
At 8100 miles the only thing the car should need is an oil change and maybe tire rotation. Anything other than that is a dealer scam.
I got 2 free synthetic oil changes when I signed my lease, so I thought that was standard with Mazda. Apparently not. Now after using those synthetic changes, they recommend sticking to Mazda's "synthetic-blend" instead(?).Scheduled maintenance items such as oil changes are not covered under warranty.

Mazdas service interval for oil changes is 7500 to 10,000 miles depending on the maintenance schedule you are using. You should still be on the first oil change. Those "free maintenance" deals are far from free and usually end up with the dealer finding a way to separate you from your money.I got 2 free synthetic oil changes when I signed my lease, so I thought that was standard with Mazda. For my 2017 Mazda3 (I'm in the US), the oil change interval is 7500 or 5000 miles, depending on the schedule you are using. The 5,000 mile interval seems a bit aggressive when using full synthetic.Mazdas service interval for oil changes is 7500 to 10,000 miles depending on the maintenance schedule you are using...
$100 to rotate tires!? I'm in the wrong business. For $100 per car I could do that all day long.I'm planning a Scenario 2 (10.000 Km) maintenance also. Called yesterday and they told me it would cost around $250 and if I want to rotate the tires it would be $100 more. :|
I live in Costa Rica and $350 is half minimum monthly wage

Good god, at that rate I could be utterly lazy and rotate one set an hour and I'd still be rich!$100 to rotate tires!? I'm in the wrong business. For $100 per car I could do that all day long.

I rotated mine twice, and saved double! Oh, wait...I just made myself a hundred bucks last week by rotating my tires. Feels good.
