Hi,

I just ordered a 2018 Mazda 3 Hatchback (with Vision Plus as it's called in Sweden) Sonic Silver and I can't wait to get it. It'll be quite the upgrade from my old 2007 Kia Picanto!

While browsing around I've seen a couple of body kits (I'm think that's what they're called? I know nothing about cars, I just want it to look good for myself) but from what I've seen I'm liking the OEM kit better. I don't want it to stick out too much, I just want it to look good and clean, which the OEM kit does.

However, according to the Swedish Mazda website, they only have them in black. Does anyone know how that will look? If anyone have any images of a 2017/2018 with it on that'd be even better!

Also, I've ordered a towing hook, am I right in assuming that a lower back lip is out of the question?

Thank you all in advance!

I would like to have a body kit too on my car but gf isn't OK...

Can reply to your last question : rear body kit isn't compatible with hitch.
Thanks, that confirms my suspicion that I wouldn't be able to use the rear kit. Do you think it would look stupid with only the front and side skirts?

Still looking for images of the silver color and body kit if anyone has any.

you can get an idea there.
Thanks! Lots of good pictures. That does help me a little bit, I think the black with chrome parts front and sides would be just fine with the silver. I'm having a hard time imagining the rear without the spoiler though. Maybe it'll look weird since the rest of the car has black skirts but not the rear.

Since I can't edit posts yet, I'm posting this new reply.

I found a video of the 2017 Sonic Silver model with the body kit: Since I can't post links either, I'll just leave the video ID from Youtube here instead. mOggkwzQsMA

Now I know I like the front and sides. Question is how it would look without the black on the rear. Might be too big of a height difference as well perhaps?

Just left my 3BN at Mazda yesterday. Getting the OEM front lip and side skirts only (no rear diffuser for now).
Mine is soul red, so front lip will come in jet black + red. Side skirts will be all jet black.
When I take back the car, I will post some photos if you want :)

I think this combination should do just fine, somehow I don't like the look of the OEM diffuser. I would rather get something like this:

Or I will just paint the lower part of the rear bumper jet black. We shall see :)

Yes, I would really appreciate it if you could take some photos without the rear diffuser (so that's what it's called? I learn new things every day!)!

I won't be getting my car until mid-end February so if you think you have time before then, that'd be really great!

I just realized that the car already has some black on the rear (the diffuser I believe?) even at stock looks so that might help to make sure it doesn't look too weird. I'm a bit worried about the height difference though, and also that the front and sides are black at the bottom (with the kit) but the rear will be silver closest to the tires but then the diffuser is black.

Sure, I will post some photos when I get my 3 back (should be in about a week) :)

In the meantime, I found some pictures of silver FL 3 with the OEM body kit.
Have a look.
I think its gonna be ok with front lip and side skirts only.

Edit: here is some YT video as well:

Yeah, I found that video last night and I really like the look of the front lip and side skirts. It's the rear I'm worried about. As seen in this image: https://imgur.com/a/Et0Jp

That black part with the arrow in the image won't be there at all, so it'll be silver and a bit higher up (since the black adds at least a couple of cm).

Hey man, just got my M3 back from my dealer today. OEM front lip and side skirts installed.
Here are some photos (I know the pictures are not very nice but I just took them really quickly).

I am really happy with the results :)

Now looking for some rear bumper diffuser or lip to complete the mod :)

Next step is front plate relocation. Going to get one relocator from @minsanity !

Well done, sir! Have always loved the BN kit! Has anyone tried this Facelift kit on a BM?
