Last winter the battery on my 2016 Mazda 3 went dead. It was recharged and since then when I turn off the engine the horn honks twice, loudly. Also loud honks when arming and disarming vehicle. I replaced the battery and still have the same problem. This only happened since the dead battery. I took it to a Mazda dealer and they could not resolve the problem. What can I do to fix this?

In the older days, the horns would sound when you locked the vehicle. It's possible that this option has been disarmed in the car's CPU. Since your battery died, it possible the CPU reset, thus turning back on the horn option? I would call Mazda USA and ask them.

Try a better dealership..it should not be doing that.

If that doesn't work..call the local Mazda corporate office from the contact information on the website and let them help you.
