I have a 2015 Mazda 3 I sport.

I have taken out the old tweeters and used the housing for the new Rockford Fosgate Prime R1T-S 160 Watt 1" Balanced Dome Tweeters
When I look at the wiring diagram online for it the positive is the brown wire and the Negative is the green wire.

It sounds raspy when I hook them up why is that?

They are rated at 40 RMS. It has a built in Passover. When I wire them the other way brown = + and green = - the raspy sound goes away some what.

Why are these tweeters doing this?

I also had to use 2 different types of wire gauge the Mazda 3 uses a thick 22 gauge I think its not flexible like the tweeters I think the tweeters are either 16 or 18 gauge.

Also I am putting in an AMP to match the 40 RMS 4x Rockford Fosgate speakers in my car.

Are the wiring of the tweeters going to effect the AMP install. Without a sub woofer.
