If so, which brand are you guys using or have used with the best compatibility and least amount of issues?

I've been using the Motorola MA1 in my 2018 GT (with the AA/CP retrofit) and my wife's 2021 Nissan Rogue since last September. It works flawlessly in the Nissan, and nearly flawlessly in my Mazda, only exhibiting a rare disconnect/reconnect on random occasion. It hasn't been impactful enough to troubleshoot. Otherwise, it works very nicely for Google Maps, Assistant search and phone calls, etc. – everything you expect from the wired connection.

I'm using Carsifi. When I got it first it had major issues with music skipping or stopping completly every 5-20min but after getting in touch with them they managed to sort it out. It still disconnects very rarely but it's much better than before. If I had to buy a new one I think I would choose the MA1

My 2015 3 seems to be very buggy/finicky for whatever reason even after updating firmware to v74 recently.

Started with the original AA Wireless device, and then one day it just stopped working. Phone showed it was connected to AA, but AA never came up on my head-unit.

I then purchased a MA1 pretty soon after it came out. Same thing. Worked fine for months, and then one day the same thing happened as above. No amount of troubleshooting got either of them to work on my Mazda again, but they both worked fine in other cars.

I'm on an Ottocast U2-X currently, and it was solid until "Coolwalk" was rolled out recently. The device still works, but if I try to use the split screen feature, controller locks on the right media panel, and will not allow clicking away from it. Pretty frustrating.

I tried the Teeran next. Same as the top two, although it only worked for a day, and then nothing pulled up on the headunit.

I think my situation is an anomaly overall. I haven't heard of others having such troubles. Funny thing is, I'm in IT, and pretty solid at this stuff, but that's been of no help.

carlinkit 4.0 works for carplay although a tad laggy on input, 4:3 ratio on android auto is known issue reported on official fb group. fucked with dpi and resolution with no change. Thinking of trying one of the new Ai boxes with android built in tho worried the lack of touch will be too limiting

I've settled with AAWireless in the end and will report back once I've received the adapter and used it for a couple of days with the 3. Reason being I heard AAWireless plays nice with Pixel 7 Pro which I'm currently using and it comes with an app so hopefully it'll have constant updates to support Coolwalk proper and play nice with our Mazda's headunit.
