So as some of you know i got these headlights of of eBay and they were indeed plug and play. Not being satisfied with a bi-halogen option I decided to do my maiden retrofit of a headlight and swapped out the halogens for mini h1s. It's a work in progress but I'm nearly done, just need to wire the car for the HIDs and reseal. I'll update this once I'm done but for now, a teaser. Post if you want me to go more in depth on what's involved once I'm done. First pic is on car fresh out of the box, second is how they are currently. They are the new morimoto xbt rgb demon eyes. Used a 9v and took pictures with phone so color and brightness are off. ETA on this project is Saturday 3/11.

I ordered the Morimoto two stroke LED H7 kit and am getting them set before I even try my initial install. I will post how well they "fit" as the bulb itself is huge. I managed to get the dust cap back on but it was tight. Now to find a home for the ballast...

Sweet, I was just looking at these on ebay.

Definitely a viable option but if you want them perfect you'll have to do some work. for <$800 (Sans demon eyes) you can basically have a headlight swap. I definitely wanted HID so I went ahead and started the work after test fit/ making sure everything worked properly. Next project at some point is to swap the tails which will be more simple.

Suggestion if you want to keep them stock (the halogens are surprisingly on par with stock) pull the DRL fuse as due to the way the wiring had to be done the high beams activate when you have DRL active. The LED Halo/brows are also wired to the same thing hence where part of my issue lied. Halos were only on with parking lights/regular head lights when you pull the fuse. They can be separated without pulling the headlights apart just cut and splice the brown wire and piggyback it into a fuse.

Thanks for the info. Not sure what I'm going to do with everything yet. I'll probably end up putting HID's in (from what I understand they're "ok" with the halogen projectors?). I also want to get some of the DRL's that are integrated into the fog light bezels from IJDMTOY and would like to tie them in to the stock DRL's. Just trying to figure out what kind of bulb to run in the high beams so everything will match. And i'll probably pick up a set of the morimoto led bulbs for my fogs whenever they come back out in May.
