Anyone experience negative effects after installing the curt hitch? It seems fairly low to the ground, and the crossbar isn't tucked up fully against the bumper. I've attached a picture from an Amazon review.

Is the draw-tite any better?

I know the eco-hitch is the best bet, the price is much higher than the curt or draw-tite

The Draw-Title is probably almost exactly the same; they have similar designs and probably attach at the same points.

The Torklift Eco-hitch is what I have, and there's zero clearance problems at all with it. You can see photos of it on their website. It's expensive, but I think it's well worth if it you don't want an ugly cross-bar hitch hanging beneath your bumper and don't want to deal with clearance problems.

Yah. I've noticed Curt almost always has a slightly different design then the Draw-Tite. Draw-Tite/Hidden Hitch/Reese/U-Haul tend to have the same design and model number...
That's because Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch, and Reese are all the same company, and U-Haul probably buys from largely from them and slaps their sticker on it. Curt is a separate company, so their designs will usually be slightly different, but usually not much. Curt stuff does usually seem to be a little nicer I think.

Got a curt hitch off amazon warehouse for cheap. It had a few scratches, but nothing major.

Anyway, I just finished the install. It was bent, so all 4 bolts didn't line up correctly. Spent an extra 30-40 minutes using various pry bars to get the final bolt to line up.

Pretty happy with the results. It's fairly high off the ground and close to the bumper. I'll post some pictures with daytime lighting.

The install was fairly easy. The muffler did get in the way quite a bit - I couldn't lower it enough to have plenty of room to work.
