2015 Mazda 3 i-Touring sedan. Titanium Flash. 11K.

Since week 1, the mirrors have let grease out from behind them, sending big staining streaks down the side of my car. Looks just like what you'd think, oily residue that looks etched in like a water spot. I also notice it at a couple other joints in the body panels, but not as bad.

I've tried getting it out, but nothing short of a professional polish is going to work. I've tried tar remover, clear coat safe Goo Off, and several DIY versions of those, even a clay bar didn't make a difference in the slightest.

I feel like Mazda (or the dealer) should pay for a polish, because this is pretty ridiculous. I take care of my car, waxing and washing regularly. It's just so disappointing that every time I've fully cleaned and waxed the entire car, I still get to look at these ugly streaks down my entire front doors.

If it's really just something oily, you don't need to cut the paint. Just a good cleaner should get it off.
