Thanks to our friend Hawke who found a later update for Gracenote than what is on current and later firmware like 74.00.311A. (usually Version 9).

Note: Gracenote 12 is now included with Firmware update 74.00.324A EU N, and others when Mazda makes 324A available for NA N and ADR 4A N.

HOW TO INSTALL Mazda Gracenote UPDATE. Pdf Below and follow instructions..

You obviously mount the single .up file on a clean and small FAT32 USB Flash Drive 16GB or smaller and best to ONLY have the single file on your USB Flash Drive or Pen-Drive.

The Gracenote music database in my car had version 9.000 and I checked the official Mazda websites several times to see if there might be a newer version.
However, the date and name of the file to be downloaded has been unchanged for years "Gracenote_EU_June2018.up".
Who would have guessed that the size and content had indeed changed?

Version 9 is the latest mazda released . they're not doing the gracenote updates anymore.

Thank you, I too had been checking the posted Gracenote file every few months and assumed it was no longer being updated. Now that I updated from v9 to v12.3, I get a lot more artist pictures when streaming my Internet music over Bluetooth. 2018 M3 GT.

It should work in any Mazda vehicle with the first gen connect system.
