I've joined mainly to share and obtain repair data/tips for my daughters 2006 Mazda 3 Neo auto. She's had it for a year with no problems despite it being a repairable writeoff 2 years ago.
I always do my own repairs and a current problem has me beat - backup lights no longer work, this happened a day after wiring in a reverse camera. both bulbs are OK as is the fuse under the glovebx. Disconnected reverse camera but still no joy. Might try disconnecting main battery to reset parameters as I know in many cars the ECU can act strange.
Anyway, hope I can help some people as well.

Thanks for the welcome fellas, re the reversing light problems - I tracked it down to a blown fuse in the fuse compartment under the glovebox - I had previously checked this fuse and it appeared OK but when checked again on a multimeter it was blown. Replacement has the reversing lights working again and now the reverse camera works as well.
