On my Mazda3 2017 hatchback, the screen wash ran out during the summer, and as I rarely use it, I totally forgot to refill it again until the autumn. Unfortunately, when I tried to use it after this, there is barely any water coming out of the front washers (rear still works OK).
I read somewhere that this can happen if the washer pump filter dries out. So, does anyone know if this is true, and if so, can the filter be removed and cleaned, or will it mean buying a new washer pump?

I'd first check to see if the line is clogged. Some compressed air might take care of it.

Thanks. I did jump to the conclusion that it must be the filter, but thinking about it, it has now been sitting in fresh liquid for several months.

I don't think it is the nozzles (but again, I will check) as they are both behaving exactly the same.
