Just picked up a 2015 3s GT 5 door, and while going over the car I noticed the rear seat bottom is really not secured at all on the outside edges.

So, I'd like to anchor it down a bit to prevent anything from snagging and pulling up too much on the foam/leather.

Before I take a look under there and see what is going on, thought I'd ask and see if anybody has removed their rear bench seat bottom (anything special to note there) and if you've found a good way to anchor the seat bottom down (just use some industrial velcro)?

Hey, sorry to revive this, but I just found it and thought I could help.
I have removed the back seat, I have a 2015 mazda 3 hatchback. So, it is a close match and maybe I can still help.
There are 2 anchor points in the front of the seat. They are latches and that when you feel under the cushion you will feel some rough plastic. This is the lever that you pull to release the seat.
There is one anchor point in the back of the seat. When viewing the seat facing towards the back of the car, the anchor lines up with the left hand side of the center backrest seat cushion. This is a simple hook that attaches to a metal loop that is in the cushion.

I have not needed to attach it with anything besides the regular anchor points.

Hopefully this helps you out.
