I believe the 5mm spacers are for the wheels to set them towards the outside of the car more
Correct, the wheels were a tad sunken in for my taste so I used billet aluminum spacers to push them out about 5mm. Still have plenty of threads exposed so re-install was a breeze, but I definitely would NOT run anything larger than 5mm without extended lugs.

I'm kind of lost attaching the newest features to the original post.
I wanted to attach everything to the original post so that anyone who comes looking for info or just wanted to see my build start to finish uninterrupted can do so on the very first page. I was never a big fan of trying to read build threads and having to sift through tons of replies hoping to find more content from OP.

I like centralized information. Lol

It's a great idea zs3. I like the first post covering all the enhancements you've made to date. I just kinda got lost about what the 5mm spacer was referring to. And thanks rtware923 for helping me out. I see the post was auto-edited by a red-pilled ghost to fill in the info this morning.

Congratulations on your enthusiasm and making your ride One of a Kind! I've done a few things, but not nearly as much you, da man!

Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond my control, my "build" is coming to a temporary stop due to a relocation. Sometime in March I'm moving to Arkansas for work and need to save every single penny for the move, including my entire budget for mods.

The "build" is still going, and will most likely get even more drastic as I'm getting hooked up with a tuner buddy of mine who's in good with a supposedly well known Mazda tuner in the state. More is coming, just need some time to get my life balanced back out before I buy/install anything else.

Thread updated with recent activity (even though it's insignificant, still gives content), along with deletion of some ideas and plans to eliminate a few things currently on the car. Still going in the same direction I was with the 3, just a new approach to an old dream I suppose.

Regarding your aftermarket gauges plans, a setup with an ODB2 reader and an application on your phone/custom tablet/infotainment hack will be more flexible, don't you think?
The Ultra-Gauge OBD2 reader is most likely what I'll get to read some of the stuff from the car, however oil pressure isn't monitored via OBD2 with our vehicles and that's worrying to me. So I'll still most likely run a dedicated gauge for the water temp, oil pressure and volts, and let the Ultra-Gauge handle the rest.

Nice to see you post!
Great minds think alike they say? :nerd:
Good thoughts on the UG and Oil pressure. If you take a peek at my build thread i am already using the Ultra Gauge and working on the oil pressure via a slightly improved oil filter adapter.
