I agree that steering angle-based faults are indicative of the clock spring.
coincidence, yesterday I was easy on the steering wheel while maneuvering out of my parking lot and the light stayed off all day. Overall, 8 days, light came on only twice and it was after maneuvering. It also went away after few minutes in both cases. But it never came out in the morning right at the start, which had been happening every day for weeks before I applied WD40 ECC.
Bottom line I am all set, but eventually I will replace the CSpring. Meantime, virtually "warning lightless" Thanks again Hatch!

'Appreciate the updates for the community, Frank. FWIW, I recommend replacing sooner rather than later, as the causative angles you're describing seem apt to be reproduced while attempting to avoid a collision -- although you may be able to avoid the error/light during regular driving, the bag may not deploy when you need it most.
