at some point i'll need one of the diagnostic tools for my shiny new mazda. my old obd2 code scanner doesn't support CAN so i just gave it away to a friend.

would like to know what you guys use....now before someone throws a rusty wrench at my head, yes i did search and didn't find much. i'm thinking along the lines of one of the elm327 bluetooth adapters and getting the torque app for my android phone. seems like a good option, but would like to know what you guys have had good success with (or not so good) before i buy one. what should i avoid?

I have a cheap OBD Scant ool by BAFX and also a much more refined unit, OBDLink MX by Scantool. The MX is pretty pricey. Unless you intend to tune or something, something like the BAFX unit would suffice. Check Amazon. Tons available for cheap.

The MX was useful for my previous auto, a tuned 2013 Ford SHO. Have yet to use either on my 3.
