After using someone else's ratchet over the weekend, I got used to a very resistant release button. When I got back from the trip, I found my car would barely start. I picked up a new battery today at costco and when I went to put it in, my finger slipped and released the drive right into the engine bay:|. I can't find it with a flashlight and I plan to take off the plastic shields off the bottom tomorrow. Am I in any real danger from driving with it in there somewhere? Of course anything could go wrong and maybe something terrible; but for the most part it shouldn't cause any real harm? I plan on taking it in for my oil change soon anyways with a few other issues. Is it worth mentioning to the dealer what happened or will they just charge me a lot to look for it?

Thanks.
