First time posting but I've been looking for a good while. I have a 2010 MS3 that is completely bone stock save for a drop in K&N air filter. So the car continues to say that my driver door is open even though the door is closed. It's usually intermittent and the only temporary fix I've figured out is to manually unlock the door and it registers it as closed. Sometimes it still thinks it's open but it comes and goes. I have to keep my dome and map lights off otherwise it'll just keep flickering the whole time. I also have issues locking the car because it thinks a door is open. Any insight on this?

TL ; DR: My car door thinks it's open when it really closed. Slight annoyance and looking for some help. Thanks and much appreciated!

Did you figure this out? My buddy was having a similar issue. I believe the door closed sensor is inside the scissor-looking mechanical latch that the U-shaped bar locks into, but it's pretty buried in the chassis and hard to get to and see what's up.
