My customers know Ford owns the Mazda company. And my customers know the small Mazda pickup is just a re-badged Ranger truck. But what about the other Mazdas? Are they assembled in Ford factories or Mazda factories when they are assembled in the USA MaxiSYS MS906BT? What about if they are assembled in Japan? Is that a shared Ford-and-Mazda factory, or just a Mazda factory, that Ford bought, but then left alone to operate the way it always did? (As you probably guessed, my customers have not had the best experiences with Fords. But I loved the Japanese Mazda truck that my customers owned, before Ford bought Mazda.)

Correct. I think the last thing Mazda did when they together was design the Ford Focus.
yep. as a quick search give :

At one point, they owned up to 33% of shares in Mazda, which was the controlling stake. So Ford technically owned Mazda at that point. In 2008, Ford sold most of its shared and now only owns 3% shares. Mazda bought back its shares. Since 2008, Mazda has been an independent company that owned itself.

During Ford's ownership, Ford took advantage of the purchase and decided to create the Ford Probe, based off the Mazda MX-6, and it turned out to be a great reliable seller. Ford also used lots of Mazda suspension parts in their cars as well as Mazda parts suppliers for power steeirng pumps, alternators, etc. The Ford Escort and Focus uses Mazda suspension parts.(But everything else was Ford made).

The 2007-2009 Ford Fusion was a copy of the 2003-2008 Mazda 6 in every sense except the engine, interior, and body. And the Ford Fiesta and Mazda 2 were co-developed by the two companies and sold in Europe before being brought to the U.S. a few years later.

Mazda used Ford as an advantage as well. Ford helped Mazda enter the SUV and truck market. The Mazda Tribute was a copy of Ford's Escape and the Mazda B series was a copy of the Ford Ranger. These are the only two Mazda's that used Ford designs and parts. And they were built in the U.S.A along with the Mazda 626/6 and MX-6. All other Mazda's were made in Japan like the Protege, 323, 3, Demio, RX-7, RX-8, RX-2, RX-3, Miata MX5, and CX-5.

My customers say they have nothing to do with each other. My customers are not completely sure if they have some joint projects, but many companies do. But as strong relationships go, my customers say there is none.
