Hey so I'm going to a winter driving course next weekend on one of our frozen lakes to learn how to handle my car on solid ice!!
I want to pick up a dash cam so I can record my runs and be able to re-live them!!
Anyone have any exerience with dash cams or recommend any?

Blackvue has a great reputation and high quality during the day and night. Pricey of course. You can also get a go pro and just get a mount for the outside of your car. Many people use those to get high quality videos during extreme sports or underwater activities. Though with that route, I don't believe you get the wide view you normally would with an actual dash cam

I was looking at the GoPros as I could then also use it for my whitewater canoeing in the summer, but man they are pricey too. $400 or more.
Like you said I want something with a wide view...

I just upgraded to G1W and it's awesome. You can get off ebay for about $70
