No.......
This is the sort of thing you ask the dealer before you buy the car, isn't it?
Your car had a Monroney label on the window when you bought it that describes all the features and options also.....

I did ask the sales person at the dealership and they did not know. I read online prior to purchasing the car that it did not have cylinder deactivation. Yesterday, the car stumbled at a traffic light when I pressed the gas peddle. I guess what I was looking for was validation that the car did not have this feature. Thank you for verifying this.

It took quite a while to find the car I bought. I got lucky and eventually found the car on MAZDAUSA website as “in transit” to a dealership in Florida. I called the dealership and paid money as a binder that day. My car finally made it to the Port of Jacksonville, FL but took several days to get unloaded and several additional days to complete items that were added at the port. I knew I would never return to the dealership I purchased the car from. So, when I drove 6 hours to sign the paperwork, I knew the price, which was a good deal. I wanted the exterior color and the interior color that the car was finished in. All I had to do was sign paperwork and drive away. So, putting up with a little bit of crap was not that hard and I’ve since found a local dealership that is awesome. This is my first Mazda and I really enjoy the car.

Do you guys REALLY think Joe Q Salesperson (or the opposite gender's analogue) knows ANYTHING about the cars they're selling, let alone the moderately technical? That's gullible in my view. I think that few salespersons are truly invested in their product. Maybe that's because it's such a brutal business.

Right, but when the salesman just shrugs his shoulders and says I don't know, thats a problem. Anybody who has an interest in keeping his job and maybe actually selling some cars should at least say something like "I'm not sure about this particular model, let me find out..." instead of acting stupid and disinterested.....If the dealership employees have no interest in actually selling the car to the customer, ie going through and demonstrating the cars features and capabilities, those employees will have even less interest in treating the customer properly later when the car is brought in for service. Thats the sort of dealership to avoid.
