Good day everyone, I know this is mostly a Mazda3 forum, but I ask here because I know it's community is very active.

Last day, my 2016 CX5 didn't start in the morning. I think something was left open, like a door or a light, because in the end the car started after a boost. So basicly the battery was dead.

Now, since that issue, my infotainment reset itself often, at least once a day on daily driving, sometimes two when I drive longer. If I listen to the radio, the music don't stop, but simply the radio reset itself, with the Mazda logo and so on. My phone unpair and pair with the radio while doing this.

This issue never happened before, so I know it's related with the fact that the battery died.

My car is still under warranty, and I will have it checked soon with my oil change, but I want to troubleshoot the best I can so it can be easily fixed by the dealer.

Did any of you saw this before, thanks in advance.

I'm on V.55. And what do you mean by reseting to factory setting? Is that an option on the Infotainment unit?

Reset your system to the original settings:

Select SETTINGS from the Home screen.
Select SYSTEM tab.
Select About.
Select Factory Reset to reset system to original settings, press Yes to confirm.

Will doing a factory reset rollback firmware? I mean when I bought the car I think I was at V.29 or V.33. Will it go back there? Or I will simply wipe the memory of the unit, loose my radio station, bluetooth phone data and things like this?

Just to let you I did a factory reset. Version stayed at V.55. I lost eveything, but it's not much as eveything is by default. Will re-program radio station and pair my phone again next time.

Will keep you posted if this will fix this annoying issue.

If you find anything please let me know..

Before changing the battery, have you control the charge, sometimes the new batteries are not sufficiently charged , and the system works poorly with a voltage too low.

They didn't change the battery, they boosted it. I didn't drive much today, but the system did not reset.
